[first draft] Orgiva

April 30th, 2007 @ 05:06 PM

Orgiva is a place in Spain.

Beautiful.

I stayed there a few days after living outside of Lisbon for 3 months.

The guitar technique in this song was taught to me by Mauricio from Buenos Aires while we were both in Portugal.

The song is written for my mother for her birthday, which is today.

Of course it's not done yet! When is it?

Sudara, I am getting back in touch with REALITY, after being much too focused on school these past two years. It is good to hear your music again. I'll be digging through the site for things I've missed and checking more frequently to hear the new things.

    Sending you love!

    Alec!

Strange timing, I just spent 1 hour digging through your wonderful creations last night!

    Much love your way, Sudara

"Of course it's not done yet! When is it?"

some artist once said a work of art is never completed, it is just abandoned.

Beautiful. Still wondering about the bells....Innsbruck bells? Thank you!

    Yes, Innsbruck Bells ;)

On weekends they ring often for several minutes in the morning around 9 and 10 and often in the afternoon. There are at least 7 churches in reasonable listening distance, including one that is within sight of my room.

I think these went off around 6:30 on a Sunday and lasted for a good 5 minutes. I had been waiting a few weeks to record them.

Well, then I am flattered. Church bells remind me of Granichou, she loved them.
