The Park, A Feist Cover.

July 7th, 2007 @ 02:32 PM

I never do cover songs. I'm the opposite of a jukebox guitar player, only knowing songs I've written, and only able to play songs that I've been playing recently. Call it laziness, self-centered, or just strange, it is what it is.

Here's a hiss-filled cover song, however, of "The Park" written by Feist. Man, can she sing. I used to listen to this song on repeat as means of a calming escape whenever things would get nuts at my last job.

Su- You have tamed the wild beast! Like an oboe - this unwieldy instrument where one spends years developing a good tone - you have cultivated and controlled your voice! Sounds lovely sir!

    Ha!

Thanks Andy, that means a lot to me to read!

The wild beast is far from being tamed, but I'm learning the moves little by little...

just watched this again on youtube. ben and i were in central park discussing it today. the guitar tone sounds great. that's the larrivee? i can't get over how mellow and rich it sounds even on a crappy mic. i really like how you arranged this... gave it a nice lightness and lift.
